October 24, 2020 - 13.5% Murky, cloudy light red. Complex nose of moist earth, cherry & blueberry; some caramel that blows off leaving lifted sweet fruit. Barely perceptible tannins, refreshing tartness, and a pleasing slight bitterness on the finish. The initial color of the wine in goblet is disconcerting, but is not any indication of how pleasant this wine is to drink.

I last tried this in 2014. Looks like this wine has now reached a good phase. Food friendly acidity.

February 18, 2015 - corked or smoke taint or maybe just not very good - I'm not expert enough to say what was wrong with it ...

February 1, 2014 - This is in a perfect place right now, and paired perfectly with shrimp and grits. Absolutely delicious.

December 3, 2013 - Absolute crap! Cloudy, murky color. Horrible smell. Even worse flavor. Immediately dumped.

August 7, 2013 - Quite dark in color, with substantial legs. Classic pinot nose. Light in texture, but substantial. Dark berries, a hint of mushroom, perfect amount of acid. Medium+ finish, with a dark, pleasantly bitter lingering note of tea. Very nice.

June 28, 2013 - Really liked this wine; gave it a while in the bottle, and it really opened up. Lots of good berry, with a subtle finish. Surprised me.
