March 15, 2023 - ziemlich fett. Dicke Frucht, annähernd reifes Kompott
schmeckt nach mehr als 14% Alk.
Eleganz und Lässigkeit fehlen
July 24, 2022 - Rather light red colour for a Châteauneuf, has a little bricking around the edge. Feels like this is past its peak. There's not (no longer) enough fruit to support the structure and tannins. Would advise to drink up because I don't see this getting any better. NR
December 12, 2021 - Last of the half case and this was the best. Opened and sat for an hour. Ready to drink, drank the same to the finish with maybe the slightest decline, slightly bitter at the last glass 1.5 hr into it. Smooth and rich with all you can hope for in a Rhône. If I had more I’d make a point to start drinking them.
October 27, 2021 - Six years after my prior bottle, this is still excellent and has aged well. Black fruits on the nose, Silky and smooth tannins. Raspberry and cherry licorice on the palate. Ready and at peak.
May 13, 2021 - Starting it’s declined, so drink up. Good complexity, higher acidity put the finish is just average.
April 24, 2021 - Open in the bottle (not decanted) for about 3 hours. Palate is sweetly dark-fruited, earthy with a bit of smoky, hot rocks. Lovely. Palate is equally rich and dark with ripe plums, cherry cola, raspberry licorice, some graphite and herbs and a slight (but not overpowering) bitterness on the finish. Tannins totally resolved, acidity and sweetness in balance. Very pretty wine right now. Absolutely bangin’ with a giant, fatty tomahawk ribeye and crispy potatoes.
April 14, 2021 - A wine worth drinking now if you have it. It is in a great drinking window and has very long aftertaste and complexity
March 21, 2021 - If it's in your cellar, drink it now.
Medium body. No bricking. Slight brett that declined but still remained present. Lot of the fruit has passed, so it was very neutral with neutral flavors. Not much of a finish. Definitely missed the drinking window on this one, though a bottle I had a few months ago was much better.
December 9, 2020 - Plat en déclin
December 4, 2020 - Last of the case, and, alas, this was passed its prime. I like PD wines, wife doesn’t. I drank this and accepted it for the underlying strengths and structure. She wouldn’t drink it.
