May 12, 2014 - I am not much of an Italian wine guy. Scratch that. I am not an Italian wine guy. I get the regions (for the most part), I understand the varieties (for the most part). I find the whites disjointed and the reds overly stewed. Having said all that, I have had some very good luck with this wine: black cherry and a bit of heat on the nose, but on the palate, this is spot on. Great Chianti acidity that invites all types of cuisine, with some fruit up front that promotes a grin. Very Good, maybe more. thedrunkencyclist.com

February 8, 2014 - Big, bold, almost super tuscan like Chianti. Lovely nose and very solid length of the wine. Excellent QPR as well.

January 23, 2014 - I was really happy with this wine this go around, there were some nice fruit flavors with a bit of earth and ample acidity. I opened this on pizza night and this was near perfect for the meal. Very Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

May 7, 2013 - Solid, and uncomplicated wine that is perfect for pizza or pasta. There is some unmistakable age on it, but it has yet to reach the "stewed fruit" stage that I have seen in quite a few Chianti. Just enough acidity to help the food, but not enough fruit to be consumed on its own. Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

January 26, 2013 - This is a great food wine. The wine has some earth and berry with slight tannins. It would be interesting to see how the '07 tastes.

October 23, 2012 - Light but enjoyable. Sweet cherry and a hint of strawberry. Pretty good acidity here and just a bit of terrior hold it together for food.

July 25, 2012 - Nose has a cherry and strawberry kick with a earthy backbone, the palate although has a gripping tanin that still has a juiciness to it. Great value at $9.

June 22, 2012 - This is what Chianti is all about. Tried after P&P and it was a bit tight, but opens up nicely after just a few minutes in the decanter. Lovely nose of earth and berries, rich cherries on the palate, bright, acidic finish that excels with food. Paired brilliantly with ravioli in a tomato-pork ragu. Killer QPR at $9 from Last Bottle. 90-92pts.

December 25, 2011 - Lovely balance of earth and fruit flavors; vibrant acidity, but not overwhelmingly so. Still, better with food than without. One of the more enjoyable Chiantis I've had recently and a great value at $12.
