August 31, 2019 - In great shape, from a magnum and given 2 hours in a decanter. Very together and smooth with real length. No rush to drink this if you have mags but the bottles are probably just beginning to tip over the edge now.

April 26, 2017 - Splash Des Moines. No decant. Nice evolution over two hours. Went through a serious menthol phase 45 minutes in but it settled down after about twenty minutes. Floral, leather, earth. Nice acidity and dusty tannins. Will last several years.

April 13, 2016 - Vinitaly 2016; 4/10/2016-4/13/2016 (Verona, Italy): Served from magnum. Very dense and powerful nose, rich and concentrated, earthy with loads of red ripe fruit, coffee, fresh tobacco, almond. The palate is equally impressive, very rich with baskets of ripe red fruit, cinnamon, nice oak frame, earthy and leathery, still tight tannins, long finish. Outstanding
