April 22, 2012 - Quite acidic and had a little too much alcohol taste. Was good when paired with spicey foods.
April 22, 2012 - Not as good as the '09 tasted at the winery. Citrus and honey on the nose with ripe peach and acidity on the palate. Finished is crisp but drawn out as well. I agree with previous reviews that this is a drink now and could have been better with a lower alcohol % to let the fruit come through more.
January 19, 2012 - Very good and drank even better the second day. However this type of wine at 14.2% ABV gets a bit clunky and removes the joy this varietal can bring. I like this winery but wish I could sample their products more as nature intended and not as the marketplace or Parker envisioned.
January 14, 2012 - This wine might have been past is peak or been storage in improper conditions, since it wasn't very enjoyable.
May 2, 2011 - nondescript
April 25, 2011 - A nice quaffable style.
October 17, 2010 - Good color. Pale straw.
Nose is of honey and lychee. Big and flowing from the glass. Really nice.
Starts off with hints of vanilla, honey, richness that quickly transitions to some nice acidity on the finish that lingers nicely.
Very nice QPR and I understand why they are the standard in WA for Semillon.
Would buy again.
August 6, 2010 - Subtle nose: lychee, orange, fruity
Palate: well balanced, full, dry
Almost a vegetal finish
July 26, 2010 - Very crisp acidity, more than I was expecting but not unpleasant. Some tropical fruit on the nose. Might have pegged this as a domestic sauv blanc if I didn't know better. Refreshing finish. Would purchase again.
July 14, 2010 - A truly excellent Semillon. Wonderful flowery aroma and bundles of honey and dessert wine smells. Long lasting taste. Marvellous.
