March 2, 2019 - Acker March Auction 2019 (Marea): Overripe, herbal, medicine. Great balance but the medical tannin still a problem to the vintage? 91

February 22, 2019 - Friday night blind BYO (Anders Condoe): Great feminine nose with flower bouquet, perfume and sweet fruit. Concentrated palate with sweet fruit and spices. Eventually hints of tobacco. Impressively tight, the age considered.

November 18, 2018 - A nice red burgundy although in a brawny red fruit driven style. I liked it.

November 18, 2018 - A Survey of Clos Vougeot (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. Very deep and intense fruit here, a little more liqueur-like, and some candied fruit flavours. Nice mix of red and black fruit, but here the tannic structure is definitely showing a little more raw. Probably a bit on the younger side, and coupled with the tannins and flashy fruit. My 6th, group's 7th. (Labelled Domaine Louis Jadot.)

November 1, 2018 - Massive bouquet 30 second finish. Hard to understand the ratings but my host purchased upon release so perhaps it's just provenance.

(Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot) Slightly bricking medium cherry red color; maturing, mushroom, dried cherry, baked raspberry nose; tasty, deep, ripe and tart red fruit, tart raspberry, mineral palate with medium acidity; medium-plus finish 92+ pts.

Burgundy-Report

(Jadot Louis Clos de Vougeot) Deep colour. Nose is black cherry with soil and fallen leaves. The palate has prominent furry tannins and very good acidity. The fruit is incredibly intense black cherry, in fact almost sour cherries. Very long too, though still very young. This wine is more structured and primary than most 2000's and I wouldn't touch another for 4-5 years. Excellent potential.
