  May 11, 2022 - Even for what should have been just a tired old merlot, something went horribly wrong with this bottle. Looked somewhere between rusty tap water and diluted root beer. Undrinkable. The 2006 I opened right after was a pleasant surprise.

  June 20, 2016 - Really deep dark colors with amazingly smooth finish. Dry cherries on the nose medium tannins.

  November 26, 2012 - Why oh why did I open this bottle?!? It's been a couple of weeks, but man! This is the textbook example of what Merlot should be. Plum, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, smoothness, lusciousness (I know, I know, but what else could I call it?!?). The 2003 was so-so, and I thought I'd sip on this while relaxing. Wish I'd waited! Delicious wine - if you have one, don't open it yet. If you do, you won't be disappointed. I'm saving the bottle.

  October 18, 2007 - Awesome! This wine gushes complexity and has a great chocolately finish. Friends commented that this was the smoothest merlot they've ever had. It is drinking well now although I am sad to have drunk this semi-collector-worthy bottle.
