November 24, 2022 - this bottle (stored in a passive cellar) has aged well and past expectations; good, albeit a bit soft fruit, mostly resolved tannins; nice balance; just right with thanksgiving meal.
June 1, 2018 - The bottle was brought to a rib BBQ. While it is a great wine, it is past prime time. Not bad, but fruit is gone. Taste is vanilla and fig. Still smooth with a long finish and low acidity.
November 22, 2017 - Inky dark, no bricking, some taut fruit and dustiness but a tad of almost a reduced / corky note. Hmmm...
February 28, 2012 - Very odd. No bricking at all. A very dark colour (very thick glass making up this bottle). Artificial cork and not many oxidative notes BUT: fruit's dead. Past it, but an interesting demonstration of a wine that is young in some way but too old in others.

January 24, 2010 - drank very well. Good blend of dark fruit and tannins.
December 23, 2009 - This wine is really dark, even at 10 years of age. On the nose you get sweet fruit and a hint at some chalky Napa tannins. This wine has sweet fruit, but isn't particularly viscous or rich. Kind of angular in nature. A bit astringent.
April 25, 2009 - rich, almost sweet, stewed black fruits, a little heavy on its feet.
January 1, 2009 - This wine is really showing nicely, and nowhere near its peak. This youthful 9yr old wine is brimming with tobacco, blackberry, black cherry, and toasted oak. Nicely balanced acidity and well integrated oak. Nicely done...try again in a couple years.
November 23, 2008 - very floral with plum, a bit of tobacco, and a nice silky finish.
