December 31, 2023 - Disgorged July 2015. Very smooth and integrated. Best enjoyed as a compliment to middle eastern food, rather than on its own.
December 16, 2023 - Simple but yummy with 8 years of bottle age. A formerly favorite producer that I may have outgrown.
November 23, 2023 - No formal notes as was consumed during Thanksgiving prep
Beautiful fine mousse - delicate aromas of stone fruit and mild brioche/ yeast aromas
Palate is just perfect IMO - beautiful acidity and fruit is so precise - really no obvious yeast/ bread notes at all on the palate

July 1, 2023 - Medium straw. April 2022 disgorgement. A somewhat quiet but still quite pretty nose offers aromas of dried apples and pears, Christmas fruitcake, preserved cherries, cured lemon, vanilla, saltine crackers and a touch of chalky minerality. On the palate this is medium to full bodied, it enters with soft edges and a gentle, caressing sort of mousse but its bright acidity tightens up the finish. Perhaps not the most complex wine at Chez Chiquet, but it is very, very easy to to drink.
August 10, 2022 - meh - has a clipped finish and drinks like a cremant. it's fine and pleansant enough, but expect more at this price point. disgorged oct 2020

June 27, 2021 - Another solid wine from Gaston Chiquet. First time trying this bottling. It had about 5 years of bottle age and was in a very good spot. Maybe starting the downslope. Balanced, some precision, some richness. Overall quality blend from one of my favorite producers.
April 27, 2021 - Semi sweet up front with a mild creaminess in the mouth. Goes down real easy. Yum
January 26, 2020 - Gyllengul med fin mousse. Generös frukt, lite päron. Lätt oxidativ. Mjuk framtoning (för att det är 40% Meunier?). En härlig champagne, även om jag som referensjustering sätter ett lägre betyg än senast.
