June 5, 2020 - My last bottle of this and by far the best. Decanted at 4:30 and tasted from 7:30-9pm. Very young looking with no bricking and translucent medium ruby color. Nose is very complex with florals, mostly violets, cherry, menthol, vanilla and lots of game meat. Palate is rich with a great mouth feel. Complex and layered. Ever so slight noticeable alcohol. Really delicious, especially the game meat component. Great with spaghetti and meatballs made by my 15 year old daughter.

March 29, 2019 - Purchased on release and in my cellar since. Decanted at 4:30pm and tasted over the ensuing 4 hours. Translucent medium garnet color with a reasonable amount of bricking on the edge.initially the nose has rose petals, licorice, vanilla and a little shoe polish. With a little more air, additional florals and menthol emerge along with sous-bois, charcoal and limestone. Palate is a little tart initially with cherry, charcoal, earth and saddle leather. Initially the finish is a bit short. With more air around the 3-4 hour mark it was more expressive and it was much better with a duck dish that had a confit leg and seared breast. This bottle seems more advanced that the one I had last year, also from my cellar.
