September 6, 2013 - Poured wonderfully after opening with a richness this didn't have a few years ago and a rough, peppery contribution that I assume comes from the merlot. Not much nose but a hint of blackberry and a bit of cigar box. After a few more hours, sweaty heat and weak, jammy berry. Drink fast, and quickly too: this one may be headed downhill.

November 28, 2011 - Drinking splendidly. Open 2-4 hours: Garnet color, soft and supple tannins, tobacco with a note of vanilla. Splendid match with garlic sautéed cherry tomatoes, rocket, fresh basil and parmesan over homemade basil spaghetti. Pity there's only another six to go.
