August 27, 2015 - Clos de Bèze Tasting-Mostly Pierre Gelin (Arlequin Wines, San Francisco): Medium yellow. Pristine stone fruit and some more tropical elements. Medium to full bodied. Fresh peach in the mouth with wonderful amplitude, roundness, and balancing acidity. Pretty astounding for a 13 year old Cote de Nuits village white.

March 12, 2011 - Dinner at Andrea's (Andrea's Restaurant): Nose had a hint of sweet oak, butterscotch and lemon. Flavors follow the nose, butterscotch, lemon custard and tropical fruits. Very fresh and poised, no excess weight and drinking just about right to my taste. Very much burgundy, but with a nod to the better California wines in style. I wouldn't feel the need to rush to drink these, but also do not feel they will improve much more. Very nice wine.

March 10, 2010 - TN: I guess I prefer California Syrahs over the Rhone (and some other stuff): This took some time to open up, but after an hour it showed much better. Deep gold in color. The nose went from honey suckle to a green apple quality. Medium bodied. On the palate, there is some citrus and plenty of green apple. Some heat on the finish though. One taster noted anise which I did not get. A nice wine and my first Dujac white. This showed far younger than the Mt. Eden.

June 9, 2007 - Light nose with a slight saline component. Bright acids, light body with good precision. Citron and tart pear notes. Clean finish, some persistence. Good balance of elements. Perfect pairing w/ garlic-lemon-parsley shrimp pasta.
