May 8, 2023 - An amazing Chardonnay, but needs to be decanted. Tasted disappointing and oxidized when opened. An hour later in glass was drinking beautifully

June 3, 2020 - Open 24h. In the nose very ripe and buttery. Great intensity and good acidity on the palate. Superb minerality but a hint too ripe and fat for my taste.

August 31, 2019 - Dyp gylden gul. Moden nese. Ox eller ikke? Sterk uenighet rundt bordet, jeg mener det er en del sekundære/tertiære karamelltoner her som ikke skal være i en så ung Grand Cru. Gul og tropisk frukt. Ananas, mango, overmoden banan.

March 26, 2016 - Bright golden yellow. Expressive nose of tropical and marine notes. Sweet and ripe orchard fruit on the palate. Ends with dusty minerals and honey. Very young despite lively aromatics.

March 4, 2016 - Pre-Paulee Warm-up Dinner (Piperade - San Francisco CA): Massive wine with lots of stone fruit and spice. Great balance and concentration, completely delicious. Great now, I wouldn't cellar it for the long-term and risk losing its beauty.

March 4, 2016 - Slow oxed 5 hours. Still tight. The wine showed very nice honey, butter and minerals in its 6th hour. Palate was not fully open up. It has a good balance between finesse and power. Give this 5-8 more years at least. A point upside from here. I generally still like his chevalier more.

    November 19, 2015 - Drank at Otto's
Served a little too cold and needed more time in the Decanter. This started to develop a rich powerful nose with lot's of brioche, butter and honey. Smooth palate with a lovely depth. Yum

October 23, 2015 - Wow -- powerful and light and elegant all at once. Just some gorgeous juice that is super now and surely has many years (pre-mox permitting) ahead of it. Certainly the best E. Sauzet wine I've had.

August 26, 2015 - In the correct phase. No premox. Fantastic wine. Finesse is good descriptor.
