March 3, 2022 - Clear, medium+ ruby, significant fading at rim
Powerful tar note hits you in the face! Hard to get past the tar. Subtle earthy notes with dusty black cherry and meat.
Plush, mid-palate texture. Full-bodied with firm, chalky tannins. Plenty of warmth from the alcohol. Pronounced, persistent acidity. 16% alcohol! Carried very well.
Flavours have a nice freshness to them on the attack evolving to tar, strawberry and leather.
Good length.
Drink or hold for 5 years. -

May 14, 2014 - Very nice drinker. Smooth with very solid dark fruits, blackberry in particular and a touch of spice at the finish. Mild tannins. Good with or without food.
