May 1, 2023 - well made and very easy drinking, maybe coming to the end of its life

January 11, 2023 - Subdued bouquet dark fruits. Deep red colour. Full bodied, intense, powerful, long, still tannic, seems very young. Some minerality and complexity. Many years of life ahead. From limited knowledge hard to judge
development much will depend on the tannins. Impressive in its own way but easy to see why opinions differ.

January 14, 2021 - This hasn't changed much in two years, although the tannins are slowly subsiding. Medium bodied, lots of blackcurrants with some bay leaf, cedar and a hint of mint on both the nose and palate. One less degree alcohol might be nice here. Still, a solid cab and a great QPR with a long life still ahead.

December 8, 2018 - A giving nose of pure blackcurrant, mint. Marinating meat. Racy. Lovely blackcurrant attack with good depth. A dry finish from the residual tannin. Interesting. Last of a six pack that I have been seeing how it aged. I’d lost all hope that it would age well - as I was told - But this was the best, easily. Softened, integrated and, especially, balanced.

April 4, 2018 - Deep ruby in colour. A powerful and classic cabernet nose of blackfruits, a hint of mint, cedar and basil - lovely. There is more of the same on the medium-full bodied palate, but the very healthy tannins are the main attribute here. They are still quite aggressive, and I am a fan of tannins. So there's a weird juxtaposition between the nice nose and fruit and then the huge wall of tannins at the end. Hold off several years if you can - hopefully the tannins will subside over time without losing the fruit too quickly. I still enjoyed the wine, though (B+). The second day, the tannins did subside somewhat.
