Dry, but with a lovely sweet core
December 25, 2023 - Opened after being slightly chilled. (Bottle was opened by someone for a mimosa).
Shows some golden color.
Nose of toasted hazelnuts and brioche. Still has some good bubbles with that toasty nut profile.
Good but shows its age.
November 25, 2022 - Fantastic! 23 year old blanc de blanc. Had this before Thanksgiving dinner and it did not disappoint. Absolutely enticing, sweet, flaky pastry nose. Also some vanilla, lemon and cheese danish notes. Dry with lemon, pastry and Marcona almond flavors. Absolutely wonderful!
July 7, 2022 - Beautiful freshness very autolytic and improved with air. Paired beautifully with smoked salmon canapés and deep fried stuffed zucchini flowers at Eckler's!!
March 25, 2022 - Cork came out with a slight whimper. Golden colored. Very fine bubbles that faded fast. Showed decent amount of age, more so than the bottle I had in the fall. Nougat and toasted caramel with some hints of dried lemon. Good balance throughout and a long finish that changes the profile more towards a burnt caramel. Still some acidity, but the palate is very dominant. Drink up
August 27, 2021 - There’s a distinct house style to the young ‘12. It’s showing better than the same vintage Salon tonight although the provenance of the latter was suspect. The Delamotte was more crystalline and focused than the Salon although it’s not one to seek out.

This bottle gained some bottle age showing it with yellow gold color. Clean and pure nose of brioche, some yellow fruits, nutty.
Elegant wine.
100% Chardonnay coming from the best vineyards in top Grand Cru villages of Côte des Blancs: Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Oger.
Delamotte is the younger brother of Salon. Expect top quality!

January 19, 2019 - I don't see the 1999 Delamotte Collection Blanc de Blanc in CT. So I am posting here as a proxy.
Part of a birthday celebration with some of the NYC CT'ers. I don't remember having too many experiences with the producer. Light golden color with very fine bubbles. Beautiful tangerine, marzipan, toasted and buttered brioche on the nose that carries over to the palate. Delicious.
