June 14, 2019 - An 89 at best. I should have drunk my remaining bottles earlier. This drinking experience echoed a review another drinker posted in mid-May. It could be this bottle is a one off......I hope so. My previous tastings of this one yielded 93 ratings.

May 18, 2019 - This wine tasted ok but really had stewed aromas. Was nothing like the last bottle so no score (judgement reserved).

June 13, 2017 - Continues to be a great wine and a great value. However, I will disclose my bias for deep/dark/decadent wines......and, this is surely one of those. Opened for one and a half decant. Earlier on this one needed a decant, but right now, just being open seemed fine. I see this as more of a food wine than a sipping wine.

November 19, 2016 - Massive and delicious. Great aromatics. On the palate dark fruit and this lovely vegetable component. You get a good dose of green pepper and dried herbs. The med+ finish lingers. A nice mix of old world meets new world. Really enjoyed it and the 10 pound bottle can be used as a weapon!

March 13, 2016 - Popped and poured; in hindsite, this could have used a 30min decant. Deep, dark crimson with an opaque core. Wonderful aromas of dark cherries mixed with teriyaki, orange bitters and baking spices. Dark cherries on the palate with some leather. Tannins are still pretty gripping but it's not unpleasant. Ample acid gives it some lift and makes it a compliment to the meal which consisted of spare ribs prepared sous vide with just a kiss on the hot grill and a grilled rack of lamb prepared with an Arabian marinade. Just awesome, in a bit more modern style. Drink now or Hold. Should be drinking at this level for at least the next few years.
