Community Tasting Notes 6

August 2, 2011 - I can't believe I am giving 90+ points to a rose but this one deserves it. What a wonderfully complex rose, floral and beautifully textured. Watermelon, strawberry, and cork husk come rushing through backed by a sturdy backbone and a strong finish. Has a wonderful Muscadet like mouthfeel and aroma..

    A stunner.

October 22, 2010 - Popped and sat in a ice bath for half an hour, drank over an hour.
    Tasted again 24 hours later:

    Nose:
Bright refreshing red fruits such as strawberries, but also white fruit such as guava. A hint of citrus and floral notes
24 hrs later: Still had that vibrant freshness of red fruit but now some kiwi, sweaty sock and stony profiles

    Taste:
A crisp, light but complex Rose. Cherries and pears with still a nice touch of citrus on the palate. Good dose of acid and balance. Very bright and delicious dry Rose.
24 hrs later: felt it was even better 24 hours later as the flavours got deeper with hints of rose syrup (bandung) and a wonderful minerality came out as well. There was a spicy note at the mid-palate which was delightful and crushed rock finish had a good length to it.

Very good rose for the price and would definitely buy again.

June 2, 2010 - Rose or watermelon colored, restrained citrus on the nose and watermelon notes, rose hips, oranges in the mouth with a warm finish. First rose I've had in a long while and it was nice and light without being insubstantial.
