October 3, 2019 - PnP. Luscious nose and palate of cherry and red raspberry, followed by cinnamon and white pepper, with silky tannins and long finish.

April 1, 2013 - As jasonmckinley says, be sure to give this time to develop. Unfortunately, we PnP'd. We nursed the first glass for about half an hour since it was all we had to drink, and it was a little too chilled. As it started to warm and open up, the nicely balanced spice, pepper and dark fruit presented itself. The next two glasses were consumed much more quickly and each sip was better than the last. The finish was tongue-coating with slightly grainy, but soft tannins.

December 30, 2012 - Be sure to give this time to develop---do NOT pop and pour as I think you will be disappointed. We let it breathe about 45 minutes in the glass after taking an initial taste. That 45 minutes did a lot for the wine and it kept getting better over the course of the next 90 minutes. Nice pepper notes with coffee and a nice finish with some grip. I normally don't care for Zin and this was definitely an exception after it opened.

June 1, 2011 - Ruby/garnet/purple in color, deep and translucent. Blackberry, black cherry, licorice aromas with just a hint of raspberry and a bouquet of spicy cedar, anise, dark chocolate and vanilla. Nice heat and spice, balanced with dark to red fruit. Fairly complex nose. Medium body. Predominantly red fruit on the attack with raspberry, cherry and cranberry. High acidity and ripe tannins, forming an elevated structure. Very dry. Medium to long finish with heat and acidity first dominating the finish, then evolving into layers of fruit with cedar, chocolate in the aftertaste. Very nice effort from a great producer! A lot more to explore! This wine is on its stride to peak soon, although a little bottle age wouldn't hurt. Drink now.

February 6, 2011 - Funky nose. Wonderfully zesty zinfandel without being overly peppery or jammy. Finishes on a sharp cheese note.
