February 28, 2020 - Past it's prime
April 24, 2015 - Way past its prime, but still delectable!
April 27, 2013 - Wonderfully jammy and full mouth finish with a bit of pepper.
March 19, 2011 - Primary fruit still. Sweet, seems like a decent amount of RS. Enjoyable, but more as a cocktail.
January 23, 2011 - Couldn't agree more with the previous note. I think I waited too long as deep fruits are powering through, nearly port-like. Feeling like I waited a year or two too long.
December 31, 2010 - Popped and poured. Dark ruby color with a very pleasant nose of red and black berry, lush taste had a little spice but was moving in the direction of a light port with a smooth medium finish. I wish I had not waited and opened this a year ago.
September 23, 2009 - Lush and thick fruit, but closed upon opening and decanting. Continued to open as time went by and improved but still a bit on the syrup side with mild tannins. The fruit overpowered the complexity. Probably still improve with age, decant for an hour or more.
April 12, 2009 - Just darned pleasant, standng up to lamb and ham for Easter.
February 28, 2009 - a little reductive, porty, brown sugar nose... not sure if an off bottle, but way different than I expected. Will check another one soon...
November 16, 2008 - Best Zin to date (blend or not). This wine just explodes in the glass. Oozing with fruit with a luscious mouth feel and a long long finish. Allow 30 minutes for the wine to open either in the glass or with a decanter.
