    July 29, 2018 - Perrot-Minot is just crazy times.

Dark fruit, cherries and some extremely thick-full of water-rose petals. After some air it moves over to the more modern genre with loads of oak - however, not a bad thing in this case. Some smokiness and heavy masculine musk, this just shows the effortless power of Gevrey Chambertin Grand Cru.

This is very good now but will no doubt be even better with five years more in the cellar.

February 7, 2018 - Pretty dark fruit aromatics. Brambly black cherry and spice with a feminine edge, despite being rather large-scaled. There's a good depth here. It's not ready, but does offer a good bit of attractive, albeit ripe and a touch stern, pinot fruit. An almost Oregonian density and profile, but it's structured well and should undoubtedly improve.

December 2, 2012 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief notes. Ripe black fruit, lots of spice that didn't quite seem "Gevrey" in character but charming nonetheless. Slightly sweet, very ripe fruit again on palate, with good acidity helping provide length and finesse on finish.

November 3, 2010 - An Evening with Martine Saunier (Chicago, IL): Pretty, floral wine. Some ripe fruits. Surprisingly lighter bodied palate, but lots clearly in reserve. Well structured. Promising.

(Perrot-Minot Christophe Mazoyères-Chambertin) Medium, medium-plus colour. Again the same caramel as the last wines - which is disappointing - but this time on a lower level and overlaid by pretty higher tones. Here the structure and concentration show in a more obvious manner, but the wine is intense and essentially fresh. Very impressive if not yet ‘comely’.
