November 12, 2021 - Last tasted 8 years ago (!) and very consistent now, except it was much more approachable when first opened. Graphite, lead, and still very much almost youthful with soft tannins and good acidity. Really a fine left bank Bordeaux

November 4, 2021 - Deepavali festivities in Singapore, pairing it with an excellent pigeon dish from Alma. Deep ruby Color. A very floral nose, dried raspberries, mushroom, black pepper, wet forest floor, a bit of cream and a light coffee roast. Med acidity, Med body, Med alcohol, Med flavor, Med tannins, Med+ finish. Quite peppery, lots of dried red fruits, black pepper, nice creaminess and the finish remains on a peppery and vegetal note. I love this house, I love this terroir and so I don’t think this wine can disappoint me. Time to drink though!

August 28, 2021 - A lovely, elegant wine. Mature but nowhere near end of life. The nose is the best part of it. Did not improve (or degrade) overnight but did require a short in-glass decant to open initially.

Medium depth color, clearly showing signs of age.

Intense and expressive nose. Classic left bank blackcurrants and capsicum, with flint (or graphite as other reviewers have noted), white flowers and a little toast. It "smells like" it will be high in acid.

... and it rather is! Tannins are quite high and coat the mouth but very soft. Body and finish are just medium+. Flavors more or less match the nose with a bit more toast and flowers, lots of minerality, less fruit and some chalkiness.

August 6, 2021 - Not sure if premox or over the hill but was sherries and soy sauce like. Undrinkable unfortunately. Base neck fill and cork intact, so not sure the issue.

August 1, 2021 - This was fully expressive and singing from the get go. Classic mature Bordeaux notes (cigar box, graphite, leather, blackcurrants) and beautifully integrated. Medium bodied with soft tannins and a touch of acidity/austerity on the finish. This was better than expected and drinking beautifully. Based on these two bottles this wine is fully mature and won’t get any better, but there’s no rush. I’ll drink my last few bottles over the next 3-5 years. Excellent.
