Community Tasting Notes 5

April 7, 2020 - Well, it does have some depth but just a little short on Corton intensity. Just not developed yet. Perhaps I had too high expectation. It did improve through the night. Wait another 5 years? The Bouchard Corton from 97 I had last month was much better

July 8, 2017 - Popped and poured and enjoyed a few glasses over two hours. The wine was charming in its own way with some cherry fruit and typical Burgundy spice notes. A bit soft and lean but not lacking in anything. Imagine a better vintage with the volume turned down - so still quite enjoyable. Drink now but no rush.

    January 1, 2016 - A bit young.
    Decent fruit.
    A bit rustic.
    But still evident quality here.
Will be better in 5 years.

October 22, 2014 - Comes across as far more "2007" than "Corton" to me with lots of ripe red fruit. Some oak spice and sauvage hints with very softened tannins. Very good length and finesse, modest density.

March 3, 2013 - LCBO Paid Tasting: Smoke, berry and bacon with good balance and tannin. Excellent. Would purchase.
