August 13, 2022 - Slightly depressed cork, cleanly extracted, no sign of leakage. With first pour, hay color, powerful palate, beautifully integrated and balanced, drinking like water. Adds glint of brown tinge with air, palate became slightly madernized, but only ever so slightly. A marvelous drink with PnP.

June 11, 2021 - Golden; light peach-banana-apricot; tainted; mature but still acidic; some balance; moderate finish.

January 27, 2019 - Over the hill, and not really drinkable.

    August 3, 2017 - Oxidized. Badly.

November 1, 2015 - We sipped while celebrating the first wine of our birthday month as well as the publishing of Buddy's Universe - A Beagle's Life Book I (http://buzzzzoff.com/buddys-universe-a-beagles-life-book-i/). A good day!

Sadly, the Corton-Chuckie was a bit of a disappointment, albeit very good. Dark, straw yellow almost like a mature Sauternes. Inviting! Light perfume of oxidised and toasty oak nose to the point that we are happy both sipping...and more importantly sipping now as we feel life is short for this luvly, which is very sad and unexpected. Tangy, caramel without the balance we expected between acidity, alcohol, oak and fruit. We cannot say bad...we cannot say not good...we just cannot say great! Tears of a Clown...

"I try to keep my sadness hid
    Smiling in the public eye
But in my lonely room I cry
    the tears of a clown
    When there's no one around"

We are in a lonely room...please Monsieur Girardin, please do better next time...or was it this bottle?
