May 14, 2019 - Got a little nervous when I noticed my last note said "drinking well now" in '14, but this is drinking great tonight with a dill pickle cheeseburger pizza (sounds weird I know, but it was actually really good). Dense, opaque coloring with ruby to garnet edges. Aromas of blue and black berry pie, plum, and cedar. Medium(+) body and acid, round and lush mouthfeel, long finish, and flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, orange peel, lemon, mineral, and spice. Really solid tonight.

May 30, 2017 - This has aged very nicely. Floral is ndertones with medium fruit, and structural balance.

December 4, 2016 - Served with pork loin slow cooked with apples, honey and cinnamon. Good fruit in the wine paired nicely

September 3, 2016 - I was concerned this one might be past prime, but my fears proved unfounded. Stored properly, popped and poured to accompany bone-in elk ribeye. Fabulous! A real cab lovers merlot - the tannins have softened revealing plump, juicy, rich plum with a hint of cassis and vanilla. She really opened up nicely and had sufficient backbone to stand up very well to the elk steak, which is stronger and a touch gamier than beef. I'd say this '07 is peaking right now - so drink up!

August 22, 2015 - Terrific wine. Blackberry, mocha, soft fine-grained tannins, medium acidity. Good concentration.
