May 17, 2020 - haven’t tried one of these in quite a few years and delighted to see how well it’s holding up

bright , fruit and acid still vibrant along with just enough brick and leather to round out the sharper tannins of the petit verdot in its youth

what a treat and amazing value for price after 15 years

have 1 bottle left - will save another 5 yrs

July 22, 2013 - The tasting note from 11/27/2011 is still spot on. This is a delicious wine that we will continue to put in our cellar when it becomes available.

    November 27, 2011 - Color: Dark Plum
Nose: Black cherry with hints of cocoa, spice and tobacco
Palate: Fuit forward with plum, cherry and dark chocolate with light tannins
Finish: Medium to full, chewey and longer most other Petit Verdot's and very smooth
Decanting: Opened and let sit for ~30 minutes before poring and drinking.
Thoughts: This is an outstanding Petit Verdot. There are not many Petit Verdot that are stand alone wines in the same class as this wine. It was paired with a pork chops with dijon mushroom bourbon sauce and fried cheddar grits. This is a wine we will keep in our cellar.

October 8, 2011 - Critic's Comparison: This had a ripe and powerful bouquet of black licorice, cocoa, tar, spice and black cherry. The palate was dense, powerful and astringent with flavors that followed the nose. My score was 89+, the group’s average score was 89.6 points.
