October 26, 2023 - From magnum format. After thirty minutes of air, this wine transformed into the magnificent Grand Cru that it is. Wow! A perfect balance of acidity, ripeness, and remaining fruit that made this magnum of Corton Charlemagne one of the best in my life. Only age, 27 years, can create such a homogeneous expression of controlled power without weight. Drink up because white Burgundy does not get any better. In the era of pre-mox, it's wonderful to see bottles/magnums that show no signs and express their greatness. This magnum was simply sensational.
