July 8, 2020 - Still showing well from half bottle. mellow southern rhone garrigue character with a summery, slightly pruney element to the fruit. Nicely balanced and fully resolved smooth finish. ***
September 29, 2018 - Half. As per recent halves. Top ***
April 19, 2018 - Half. Consistent with previous. Smooth and mellow southern Rhône style. Coped well with an ice cube in the last glass to accompany pizza in the hot weather. ***
February 8, 2018 - Half. Deep ruby. very smooth and rounded with quite rich, dark fruit and good acidity. Fully resolved and very drinkable. Lovely. Top ***
November 2, 2013 - Half. Consistent with previous bottles. Good dark red spicy fruit, nice weight, good acidity through the fruit. Very serviceable. ***
August 25, 2013 - Half. Coming on nicely from the previous half almost two years ago. Rich dark fruit, nicely peppery, tannins have softened and there's enough acidity to keep it fresh. Good. ***
December 14, 2012 - Still a nice and good wines. Tannins are soft, but I guess it is about time to drink up.
September 15, 2012 - Drinking really good right now. meat juice, dark fruit and really smooth.
August 31, 2012 - Tonight our impressions are more oaky than last time - nice oak though - but slightly subdued on other aromatics, perhaps tunneling a bit and in need of more cellar time. Anyway it has good tannin structure and lots of freshness. A lambchop perhaps would do the trick, obviously drinks well with goat cheese from the Pyrenées, but our main strategy would be to wait at least until 2015 for the full monty.
December 22, 2011 - Half bottle. Dark red fruits, some pepper, decent structure with some crucnchy tannin and fresh acidity in nice balance. tasty. Young but promising and approachable with food now. ***
