January 14, 2023 - I had put this aside some years ago thinking maybe use it for a party. It has unexpectedly matured and greatly improved. 60% cabernet franc, 28% syrah,12% merlot, it originally was quite stringent with notes of tar with not much fruit. It has balanced and integrated well with dark crushed fruit on the nose and palate. Corked and left on the counter was excellent 2 days later.

October 8, 2017 - Although well past its prime, it still held up nicely to a beef stew. Subtle dark fruits on the nose and a finish with an earthy, pipe smoke, this wine was wonderfully enjoyable.

March 29, 2012 - Stunning Ruby red, cherry and bell pepper notes, nose of licorice. Drinking so wonderfully wouldn't wait longer.

April 27, 2011 - Nice wine. Comes across softer and riper at first than it did initially. That said, tones down with a bit of time with more dark, smoky, fruit and dark chocolate and hazelnut coming thru. Solid wine, but not getting better unless you just like softer.

April 27, 2011 - Dark color. Strong fruity nose with a floral component. Slightly acidic dark berry flavor with firm tannins that could stand a little more bottle time. Overall a very nice wine for under $10.
