December 30, 2016 - These wines are extreme in style but pretty darn good. Blackberry compote, deer blood, black olive, tobacco leaf - all in the right places. Intensity everywhere and showing no signs of fading.

July 4, 2014 - No formal notes, decanted for 1 hour. Baked dark fruit compote, great balance, with ripe blue and black fruits mixing with baking spices. Medium length.

June 30, 2014 - further proof that these big paso beasts do better from some serious bottle age. this one could go another 10 years. mounds of fruit and most of the heat has blown off. certainly a bit of a one trick pony still but it's a helluva trick!
