January 27, 2023 - Showing some cellar notes on the nose but still some.fine grained tannin on the back end. Dark Red fruit, pencil lead earth tones - Med+ bodied. Can drink now & over the next 3+ years
December 15, 2018 - Very nice value. Very nice "Napa cab" from Sonoma make in a more classic style, not spoofed.
December 24, 2017 - Acquired from retail at release and cellared in n'finty storage. Slight bricking in color, as expected. A bit hot on the nose initially, which subsided after 2 hours of decanting. Delicious Bordeaux blend from California. plenty of fruit left but more toward earthy, a bit of menthol and licorice, with some cedar and leather. Balanced - esp between acidity and tannin. Yummy medium-length finish. Plenty of life left, but certainly at mid-point of drinking window.
November 28, 2015 - I stumbled on an older bottle and was blown away. Deep, dark smoky, with a great nose. Full-bodied, tobacco and cedar with a long finish. Really great, mature Cab.
March 30, 2015 - Drank well over three days. Big but dry napa cab. Oak is integrating better and lessened over the days but still dominates. Spicy.
December 28, 2014 - Tastes vibrant, no age (in a bad way) on it. Very nice Bdx blend; decanted 3 hours and it was showing well.
July 30, 2014 - Last bottle of three. Graphite, menthol, spice, plums and cedar. Medium finish. Solid overall.
June 1, 2014 - Decanted for about 30 minutes before starting consumption. This definitely does not have a lot of tannins left, but I do not think this is about to fall off of a cliff either. This bottle was drinking very well, with an abundance of cherry and raspberry fruit and a medium long finish.
May 14, 2014 - Wine is turning. Hopefully the two other bottles will be drinkable!
January 31, 2014 - color dark garnet, translucent. moderate sediment in the bottle
nose leather, blackberries, smoke, earth
taste , jam, medium to full body soft tannins
It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis), strawberry jam and forest floor. It tastes like blackberry, prune and game. The body is medium/full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
Overall this is nicer than 2010. I would finish the rest within the next several years
