Community Tasting Notes 4

January 8, 2017 - Nice savory aromas. Palate has some savory dark fruits but again very sweet. After 9 years of aging it's not getting better, but rather more like staying the course. While still a good wine, disappointing because we buy these to age.

February 19, 2014 - Kind of a so-so showing - Evident bramble, meat and violet overshadowed by a rather sweet note. Weakest of the 2007 D&G syrahs tasted in the last year. Hope to see improvement in a few years. Very Good to Excellent, but not up there with the Fenaughty or Recluse.

February 7, 2011 - Very solid. Finished 2nd out 5 in our Super Bowl blind tasting.

December 29, 2009 - No secret why the reserve comes from this vineyard. Was a very worthy competitor in our tasting; outshone wines of high regard. Would be quite happy with a little aging but actually wasn't tasting too terribly young.
