May 10, 2019 - Just Didier Dagueneau! One of the most balanced desert eine of the world!

May 22, 2017 - Enticing and complex aromas on the nose. Apricot, candied orange, flor and something similar to mature champagne. It has a lovely acidic backbone which works in tandem with the sweetness. Perhaps I opened the bottle a bit too early.

March 17, 2017 - Tasted out of 2 different magnums, and with both, we went back and forth about whether the wine was corked or just funky and weird. In the end, I think the answer is the latter. Full yellow. Nutty and musty on the nose, certainly not the exemplar of purity or freshness. Medium weight, good acidity, and citrus-better in the mouth than the aromatics, but then there is something mousy that makes the finish really unpleasant. Who knows what is going on with this wine. All I am sure about is that I really disliked it from both large bottles.

September 18, 2014 - Chicago: wine, food, friends...cigars!; 9/17/2014-9/20/2014 (Blackbird, Les Nomades, Naha, with lunch at Shaw's Crab House): Absolutely the perfect ending to a casual lunch that featured a dual vertical of Pur Sang and Silex. Tropical nose, drenched with honey and baked citrus, but also clean as a whistle on the very fresh, elegantly textured palate. Long, with cascading fruits that fully saturate before being swept away by unseen, plentiful acidity. A genuine treat, this is in a perfect place right now. highly recommended

    Served non-blind; Audozed 30 minutes.
