January 19, 2018 - This wine will reach its twentieth birthday in good form. It is a modern, ripe cabernet. Did not need a decant. A crowdpleaser, though I found the 2004 nicholas cole camille served on the same night to be a bit more compelling.

July 9, 2016 - When we first opened the wine it was fragment and youthful. Nice fruit notes with some earthiness. Drank half a bottle with a pasta and Eggplant Parmesan and it paired nicely. However the second half of the bottle the wine started falling apart. Guess that what happens when the wine is 4 years passed it's prime. Still a good experience!

December 15, 2014 - Drink now! Started in 2012 when it was hot with the 14.5% alcohol. Now on the tail end and starting to loose a bit of fruit but WOW has it integrated nicely. Blueberry is the dominant aroma. Blueberry, cherry and cherry with some vanilla flavours. Balanced, round, smooth. Slightly sweet making it the perfect accompaniment for roast lamb tonight. Smooth medium finish. My wife usually reacts to sulphites but is fine with this wine. She has officially declared it her favourite wine ever. I would not quite go that far but it is very delicious. Drink now if you have it. My last bottle.

July 25, 2014 - If you have this drink it now. Still good but starting to thin a bit. Alcohol heat has decreased significantly.

August 25, 2013 - See my review from 2012. Wow, what a difference 18 months makes or perhaps it was just my bottle. The alcohol is still there but the heat has mellowed. Brick red. Aromas of plum, current and blackberry. In the mouth still jammy but it seems to be working this time. Hint of oak and cedar with smooth tannins and a medium finish. Absolutely delicious with the BBQ lamb chops I made tonight.

July 29, 2012 - Nice Cab but certainly runs hot at 14.5% alcohol. Garnet color. Blackberry, current and oak on the nose. Oak, vanilla, current on the palate. Moderate tannins. Alcohol gives a bit of a kick on the finish. Pair with something robust to stand up to it: BBQ lamb, spicy chicken, ect. Be sure to share, polish off a bottle by yourself and you will be toast. I would say that this wine is at or approaching its peak. I am planning on drinking my other 3 in the next year or 2. Wife usually reacts to sulfites, she did not react to this wine.

May 29, 2012 - Good solid wine, didn't compare well to the 2001 Raymond Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon consumed the same evening.
