February 4, 2017 - Vosne lunch at Garibaldi. Deep gold, quite aged in appearance. Rather muted on the nose initially, but with time, and as this warmed in the glass, it was definitive Puligny. Minerals, stone, dried grass and leaf. This was a rather lean wine, and lacked fruit both on the nose and the palate. It was also rather one dimensional and for my palate, this was past its drinking window. Would have been better 5-8 years ago.
January 9, 2016 - A fat pear shaped wine with opulent creamy buttered Oaked vanilla lemon meringue fruit body with almond buttercup
February 12, 2015 - Dujac dinner at Jade Palace. Dark yellow, bordering on gold. Good buttery aromas, olive oil, lots of hazelnets, coconut and cream. Palate had good length, making me sway towards a Batard or even a Montrachet. There was buttered toast, toffee, rich peaches, hints of mango and vanilla cream. For me, it lacked the structure or the intensity to be really great, lacking that extra bit of sensation to really get your heart beating an extra beat, unlike some Leroy whites I've had recently. This did not hold very well in the glass as well.
March 29, 2013 - Fan-fucking-tastic.
March 22, 2013 - Absolutely rock star showing out of magnum. floral, flinty just smells freaking great. Slight butter notes on the palate and a crisp, edgy acidity that just goes on and on. White Burg at its best. Damn you, white Burgundy! Thanks JWS
July 20, 2012 - From magnum, this shows some age but yet good life and zesty.
