March 7, 2020 - From a virtually perfect looking magnum, this wine had a deep yellow/gold center and clear rims. The high- intensity nose put forth lemon, lime, pear extract, white stone, and light caramel.
In the mouth, this wine was ripe, rich and crisp, all at the same time. A hint of orange rind developed with air. While there was a ton of fruit, the acidity was integrated but quite strong. Not surprisingly, the length was impressive.
This bottle showed a decent amount of fine sediment so it was clearly fully mature. I was please at how well this wine was showing. It had Grand Cru weight and presence!
