August 5, 2011 - This wine was a very nice surprise. Enjoyed by everyone at a dinner party. Paired nicely with grilled sausage and chicken kabobs. Floral, pastille, earth and roasted herbs/sage. Soft, light and lovely on the palate with burst of fruit and herbs at mid that lead to a long, drawn out finish. There is a bit of warmth, likely VA, on the finish that makes this a little more Italian. Cherry, raspberry, sage and clove. Nice wine with great style and a good combination of power and elegance.

May 2, 2010 - Is Kirk leaving? (With Photos) (Sips Restaurant in Southwest Harbor, ME): Color: Ruby/violet

Smell: Faint hints of earth and red fruits

Taste: A melange of red fruits and clove.

Overall: Such a wonderful and interesting wine that offers great acidity, light weight, and a long lingering finish. A wonderful food wine that is quite lively and refreshing for a red wine.
