June 15, 2013 - Golden color. White peach, nectarine, honey, vanilla on the nose and palate. Crisp and lively on the palate; round finish. Great balance of acidity and oak. Excellent food wine.

July 9, 2012 - Yellow straw. Orange, almond, honey and vanilla (oak) on the nose; a little more butter on the palate than we like, but gives the wine some weight. Tasted better on a nice day at the winery. Expected more at this price.

August 12, 2011 - Orange, Grapefruit, honeysuckle, vanilla, light oak. More acidic than buttery, this is one of my personal favorite Napa chardonnays. Incredible balance of flavors and just the right touch of oak. Not the over-the-top buttery, oaky style, this wine is big but restrained. Excellent by itself or with a nice seafood risotto.

September 16, 2009 - Napa Valley Vintners Association (Fleming's Steak House): nose: very nice nose of orchard fruits, oranges, butter and some bits of tangerines. Fairly textbook california chardonnay on the nose with good depth, but much layering

taste: excellent medium/full feel with good tones of oranges, marmalade, butter, and tangerines. Good medium acidity gives this a spine, but its well in balance with the wine

overall: a very good chard. It was a real textbook cali chard and didn't really bring a next level of depth or complexity that would really make this wine a lot better. Should be good with some fatty fish or roasted chicken
