Community Tasting Notes 10

August 3, 2020 - At one point I thought this might rate a little higher, but as I have consumed bottles it is holding solid at 90. Given this is from 2008 I am still impressed with this wine. Always a nice reward for being patient. Fully integrated at this point with a few more years in the window.

September 17, 2018 - Already showing secondary notes of truffle, ash, cigar box, tobacco and currants, on the palate, the wine is medium bodied, soft, with a cherry nuance, but lacking in the depth and complexity found in more recent vintages. You can drink this now, or age it a few more years.

November 22, 2017 - Very nice wine. This is the second bottle from this case. Will share more comments after the next bottle, but for now - this is drinking well now, but will improve more with some extra time in the cellar. The potential here is 91-92 with another 5+ years. Given 2008 is an off year - not bad at all.

May 2, 2017 - Mute and musty on the nose. The wine has good body, concentration and cool Merlot flavours. Neither young nor old and a rock-solid easy-drinking 90-pointer except that the disappointing nose spoils the party somewhat. 88-89 points.

January 24, 2016 - Very drinkable. Nice taste, good value. Agree with nose and flavors described by other authors.
