February 5, 2021 - I bought 6 bottles at the winery in ?2009 I believe, and tonight I celebrate the final bottle, having taken a chance on cellaring beyond the drinking window published in the winery's vintage chart. While I might have agreed with them on the previous bottle drunk a year ago, I was pleasantly surprised tonight that this bottle had held its own so well (though I would not recommend going any longer). Decanted initially x 1 hour but better after 2 and really came into its own when paired with a hearty bistecca alla Fiorentina. Nose: light smoke, sage, fennel, pepper, plum. Medium, plush tannins. Saskatoon berry, stewed plums, minerals, expresso. Well balanced, smooth medium finish.

October 4, 2015 - This bottle of Fortissimo 2007 was fabulous, the best I had so far. This wine is at its peak, but it should stay there for at least a couple of years. Blind, I would have guessed a Maestoso 2008. Full of strawberry compote aromas, mixed with sweet tobacco and many other things - this is complex and long. Hopefully I will receive more in a future Wine Society shipment. Cheers!

January 26, 2014 - Excellent! Plums, leather, earthiness on the nose. Full, round mouthful of wine. Long finish. Definitely ready to drink now - I wish I had more! Don't forget to decant - lots of lees in the bottle and it needed to open up for full effect.

September 22, 2013 - Very nice. Glad I waited for a few years to drink this.
