December 31, 2021 - This bottle was a library release. I was impressed by how much fruit was still present. Virtually no tannins were detected--it was quite smooth. While its best days were clearly behind it, this was a lovely wine with enough complexity and delightful mouthfeel to warrant a nod in respect to how well it has held up. Unfortunately, this was my only bottle; I truly wish I had another.

December 10, 2018 - Drank during a milestone birthday, paired with grilled steak. Didn’t change our world, but still had life. Great memories connected with our visit with winemaker Mac Sawyer in 2010.

December 7, 2013 - Popped, let air in bottle and drank in restaurant. Good but not great...did improve as we progressed through the meal. Blue fruit profile with a green streak on the finish. We loved this wine when we tasted at ACV with Mac Sawyer several years ago; didn't get the same spark tonight.

March 31, 2013 - Massive with tons of fruit underneath. This wine is could be a superstar or not reach its potential. I say it needs 4 years at least until the tannins resolve. My wine group loved this. Barkman called it "pedestrian" - funny! (but not accurate)

March 8, 2010 - One of the top 10 Napa wines I've ever had. Same deep, dark fruit as the ACV cab but more polished and supple on the finish. Ready to drink without decanting.

September 26, 2009 - Pop and pour, ready to drink goodness. Deep ruby color and silky texture. Fruit deeper and more prominent than in the cab. Medium, smooth finish.
