September 29, 2019 - My second-to-last bottle. Better than the last in terms of aromatic profile, but less enjoyable flavors. Popped and poured. Translucent brick color. Intoxicating fragrances of rhubarb and kirsch liqueur. A wine with structure, yet a very light body. Rather harsh on the mid-palate. Long, bittersweet mineral and cherry kirsch finish. Faded badly on night two and was undrinkable night three.

September 10, 2018 - As delicious as previous bottle with similar notes.

August 16, 2018 - Delicious berry, mineral, and floral notes on the nose and structured palate with tasty acidity on the moderate finish. Continues to drink well.

July 24, 2017 - Last bottle. Obviously not a great vintage, but very good showing and right in it's prime window.

June 25, 2017 - 2008 was a very poor vintage, and I did not like this wine during its first few years. Now at age 9, and after many bottles, the wine has reached a very nice point. With a relatively closed nose that showed black cherry with air, the wine offers relatively little in terms of fragrances, but has a lovely, mature and earthy flavor. Still with a firm acid underpinning, it closes with a nice residual sweetness. A distinctive wine with great character.
