November 24, 2016 - It was a bottle drunk way back in February 2015 that motivated me to try and obtain more from White Rose, which I was successful in so doing, if only to the tune of two bottles. So, as is characteristic on this Thanksgiving day, a White Rose was duly opened and I decided on this '07. Brilliant ruby red with a pale rim, gorgeous Burgundian funk on the nose. Moderate acidity and plentiful tart cherry (though I note a little more rounded than I recall from the last go round). Some smoky, leathery components, lingering finish. This is really pretty. Probably at the optimum and I am thinking will not improve but years on the plateau with luck.

July 7, 2015 - I've been squirreling away a magnum of this for quite some time. I knew it was overdue for popping the cork. I brought it to my birthday dinner at a Spanish tapas place.

PnP and consumed with friends over the course of dinner. I didn't expect much as 2007 was not a great growing year. I believe it was a wet year. However, this wine aged like a champ!!

I was a little nervous as it was poured into the glass. It was light ruby in color. One sip and I breathed a sigh of relief. Palate of tart red fruits and forest floor. Some smokey and vanilla notes. Drinking very smooth with nice acidity showing its complexity and soft tannins. Medium to long finish. This is drinking fabulously now!! I just wish I had more!!

February 24, 2015 - A bit surprised to find I had no previous TNs on this wine. 2007 is not mentioned in the same breath as 2008, or more recently the much vaunted 2012; in fact it was pretty dodgy given the harvest rains and a lot of wines I tried back then were pretty mean. However, in the past couple of months I have had some '07s that have completely transformed that earlier perspective. This is one. Verging on pale with a clear rim and almost brick red; typical ebullience on the nose and I thought I had a distinct oaky component, which I find unusual with all the flamboyant aromas flying around; bracingly tart red cherry fills the mouth - it is luxurious yet forceful - lingering finish. Really in its element and makes me want more '07s. Honestly I think they could exceed the '08 and '09 vintages that showed well initially. Great structure here.

April 2, 2012 - Smooth uniform fruit , a series of gentle berry favors. Tasting more smooth than 2006 and reaching it's prime

December 11, 2011 - Matured into a good wine and is tasting well. Fruit has developed into a single structure with berries being prominent. Full bouquet that lingered. 24 hours later the 2nd half of the bottle was excellent and very smooth
