March 4, 2024 - So beautiful and so pure. This wine is like a liquid sweet red candy sprinkled with a Vosne spices. So damn pretty. This wine reaffirms that I like Sylvain > Sebastian's wines and that Cathiard RSV is probably the best RSV in the world (i have not tried Leroy's)

October 12, 2023 - This definitely required a few minutes to open up, but once it did it was lights out. So pretty!

January 14, 2019 - JM shareholders. Creamy, oak still there. Much weightier than DRC.

March 3, 2016 - Heavy wood and vanilla on the nose. Whiffs of heat on the backnose that were somewhat disconcerting. Ripe on the palate and still reasonable tannins. Time might help somewhat but the acid structure was somewhat underwhelming.

March 3, 2016 - Zachys La Paulee "Warm-up" Dinner (Boulevard - San Francisco CA): Forward, lush, fresh red fruit with lots of spice. A bit of pronounced new oak. Great flavors, but I found it slightly hollow in the middle. While I certainly liked this wine, some others liked it a lot more.

October 15, 2011 - Beautiful nose, so minerally soft and silky fruit. Not at its peak, despite its friendly nature, yet it has lovely sappy red fruit character and a great future. Excellent wine.
