November 23, 2009 - This is an interesting wine. On the nose, you pick up butter, lemon peal and red apple. It almost has a tropical component that I believe comes from the butter aroma being mixed with the citrus and sweet fruit. Just a very clean warm fragrance all the way around. On the pallet the lemon peal steals the show. The acid is high giving it an almost bitter bite or green taste if you will. I paired it up with a spicy chicken dish my wife made and it worked out very well. It allowed the spicy chicken to do its thing while it held its ground but did not overpower the main dish. I enjoyed this wine and would recommend it to friends.
