Community Tasting Notes 2

December 16, 2023 - Dennis and Caroline holiday wine tasting. Let me start by stating that I love old wine. I love their unique flavors present only in old wine. Unlike anything in the food industry. This wine was definetly light and frankly nearly transparent. Still aromatic as mostly rose petals emerged. The mouthfeel was almost watery. I get slightly rotted strawberry, slightly rotted raspberry and sweet strawberry jam. I liked it but then again I love old wine.

November 15, 2009 - Pre-Holiday Birth Year Wine party (Errol and Patty Kovitch): Light claret color, with a nicely scented floral nose. The mouthfeel was similarly light, with all the tannins having melted away, a bit of tartness, raspberry, and sweet rose petals. One might say this was nicely-aged claret in a more classical style. I enjoyed this more than others. Definitely on the downward slope, but I found this quite enjoyable nonetheless.
