October 1, 2023 - 15% abv. Dark ruby to the edges, very aromatic. Raspberry, black cherry, white pepper, mint and sage. Still potent, rich, and deep, but with outstanding balance. No need to rush if you still hold this, but it is just tremendous right now. In the zone. A wonderful California old vine mixed black.

September 10, 2023 - Still rocking it in 2023. Great dark color, very smooth - no tannins in sight.

June 2, 2023 - The last time we drank this wine was 9 years ago, and what an evolution, beautiful fruit nose followed up with eucalyptus and ripe blackberry all held in balance on this unexpected cellar discovery. 94

November 24, 2022 - I love Bedrock and celebrate most of Morgan/Chris's offerings, but the 2008 is hands down my favorite wine that they have made. It's a Thanksgiving tradition to open this bottle for our meal, and it literally gets better every year. Dark purple in the glass with explosive, old vine aromatics that leap from the glass. On the palate, this is literally a medium + bodied mouthful of Blueberry pie, baking spice, and a hint of orange rind that is washed down by waves of acidity. Not only my favorite Bedrock offering, but a top 3 wine for me ever. Yep. I like it that much. THANK YOU @bedrockmorgan and @underthewirewine for playing such a special part in our family Thanksgiving. Only problem is that I only have 1 bottle left :( Hopefully I can find more to carry on the tradition!

November 27, 2021 - I'm about as big of a Bedrock fan as you can be, and I've had the pleasure of trying many of Morgan/Chris's offerings. That said, I can say with the utmost confidence that the 2008 is hands down my favorite wine that they have made to date. Think of your grandmother's Blueberry pie, mixed with just the right amount of structure, waves of acidity, and a long finish. Truly just happiness in a bottle. It's been a Thanksgiving tradition to pop one of these for the past 5 years and it literally get better every time. Only 2 left but fingers crossed I can source some more to keep the tradition going. Thanks Morgan and Chris for making us smile and for adding some extra joy to our Holidays!

November 22, 2018 - I open one every year for Thanksgiving, and every year I love it even more. Just slaps you in the face (in a good way) with grandmas blueberry pie. So damn delicious you wish you could scoop it up with a fork. But theres plenty of acidity here to keep it fresh, and enough grip to ensure me that my last bottles will be very well received over the next 3 Thanksgivings. Life is good!!

November 23, 2017 - Good God was this good. I mean seriously, seriously good. The 2008 is probably my all-time favorite Bedrock and I've made it a tradition to open one every Thanksgiving. They've all been great, but this bottle was on a completely different level. Popped it around noon and let is slow-ox until 5pm or so, which turned out to be perfect. Insanely expressive nose of violets, and blue fruits literally explode out of the glass. Just so good it's hard to take your nose away. On the palate you get a mouthfull of blue and black fruits, florals, baking spice, and a beautiful/distinct hint of orange rind on the finish that's all washed down with just enough acidity to keep it all fresh. Best bedrock ever and a top 3 wine this year for me.

September 30, 2017 - Still fantastic! Great bold fruit & plenty of complexity from minerality & spice. Good acid & structure. Paired well with steaks.

November 24, 2016 - Just a phenomenal wine and possibly my favorite Bedrock ever. I check in on one of these every Thanksgiving and it literally gets better every year. Dark, savory fruits and florals on the nose and the palate, with nicely integrated tannins and a long, beautiful finish. Drinking so damn well right now but looking forward to popping the 5 I have left over the upcoming turkey days as I feel there's still room for improvement. Happy Thanksgiving all!

June 22, 2014 - Three pronged--with robitussin, smokey Italian herbs, and singed, bitter, alcohol--and still excellent, though I appreciated these more a few years ago. I have to think they're on the decline. Two consistent bottles.
