January 27, 2023 - Deep, dark garnet in color with no signs of aging. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe dark fruit aromas of blackberries, cherries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, mint, cocoa, cedar & tobacco notes, minerals, spices & oak/vanilla notes in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of blackberries, dark cherries & cassis with cocoa, herbs, minerals, spices & oak/vanilla in the background. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but at 19 years of age, it is at or close to its peak of development. Although it should continue to hold at its current plateau, I doubt any further significant development would occur from additional aging. Fill was at lower neck; cork stained bottom 1/4 but intact.

November 15, 2015 - Rich dark fruit, plum and tobacco with a hint of tar and licorice. Smooth, with nice finish. Drinking well.

March 13, 2013 - Popped and left open for an hour before consuming. Should have decanted as the wine just blossomed with time and air. Still a youngster, but good!

January 23, 2012 - Popped and decanted. There was big dark fruit flavors with an overriding flavor of cedar which melded better and better as it aired in the decanter and glass. Overall, a really nice wine for the pricepoint. Definately punching outside its weightclass!

September 5, 2010 - Decanted for 2.5 hours. Delicous cabernet. The palate is deep blue/black fruit with vanillin and spices that finishes with black cherries and spices in a 45 second fade. This shows the value of a review versus just a score, but I stopped scoring wines a while ago.
