October 8, 2018 - More proof that so much of old world wine enjoyment (or anything with solid structure over fruit) is about timing. It peaked at 1.5 hours of being opened and quickly declined thereafter but I liked this a lot more than previously. Good finish. It's starting to decline, so I would drink now, but worth $35-40 today.

May 9, 2014 - Notes from second night open. This is a modern style, with very plush fruit, some oak still and good concentration.Somewhat anonymous, but certainly tasty and ready now (B+).

January 21, 2013 - Fairly modernist style with substantial fruit remaining. Curious to see whether this can pick up depth with age. It has decent structure

October 1, 2012 - Very dark in color with a thin, copper rim. I liked the combination of red and blue fruit. There was some oak influence that was well integrated. Rustic tannins were still prominent even after 5 years . This wine could go another 8 years if well stored. Would prefer to drink this in a couple more years as the sandalwood would come out.

June 22, 2012 - Still has decent fruit, as well as some complexity. Needs food to really shine!
