  March 25, 2018 - I am also sad that this winery is gone, and this is my last bottle. The nose here is gorgeous, with red fruit. The palate is a bit clunky. I wish I had another bottle, and I would open it in 5 years.

  October 31, 2017 - Last bottle of 6 purchased in late 2009 and stored in a cool cellar.
  
  Brownish (slight) red color with no sediment. On nose, cocoa, red currants, dried mushrooms and dried cherry. On palate, similar flavor profile with dried cherry / red currants primarily. Medium+ body, silky palate feel and medium+ acidity. Fruit was brighter on palate than nose suggested. Long finish.
  
  This has aged very well and sad this was the last vintage produced by Michael Havens of this wine. 91-92

  October 15, 2016 - Pop and pour. Nice structure, earth, bramble. There is some alcohol and the fruit is a bit faded. I suspect I should have decanted this just to blow off the volatile stuff in it. I'll wait 1 year for my last bottle and also decant.
